Bastos Humiliated: A Training Session Disguised as a Match
What we witnessed today between FC Bastos and FC Sumith was less of a football match and more of a public execution. While FC Sumith treated the pitch like their personal playground, racking up an embarrassing 0-8 scoreline, FC Bastos seemed to be playing an entirely different sport—perhaps one where the objective is to avoid touching the ball at all costs. With zero shots—on or off target—throughout the entire ninety minutes, the FC Bastos players looked like statues hoping the final whistle would rescue them from their own incompetence. 🤡
The carnage began as early as the 4th minute and never really let up, as FC Sumith dismantled their opponents with surgical precision. By the time the clock hit 89 minutes, the scoreboard looked more like a telephone number than a professional result. The only thing FC Bastos managed to contribute to the game was a collection of five clumsy fouls and a solitary yellow card, proving that if they can't play the ball, they will at least try to play the ankles of those who can. It was a masterclass in futility from the home side. 📉
Ultimately, FC Sumith walked away with a clean sheet and a clear conscience, while FC Bastos should probably consider a change in career path—maybe something that doesn't involve grass or goalposts. Watching FC Sumith dominate with 10 shots on target while FC Bastos spent their time collecting yellow cards and chasing shadows was truly a sight to behold. If this is what passes for a professional match these days, we might as well start handing out participation trophies to the local park bench, because that’s about the level of resistance we saw today.
