What we witnessed today was less of a football match and more of a public execution. From the opening whistle, Hdv57 seemed to believe that the best way to stop the inevitable was to play dirty, picking up a yellow card by the third minute. It was a pathetic display of tactical ineptitude that only served to fuel the fire of XI Legendes. By the time the dust settled on the first half, XI Legendes had turned the game into a training session, racking up three goals from corners alone, leaving the Hdv57 defense looking like a group of tourists lost in the wrong stadium. ⚽
The second half offered a brief, delusional glimmer of hope for Hdv57 when they were gifted a penalty in the 50th minute, but let’s be honest: that was the only time they managed to look like a professional team all afternoon. With only one measly shot on target the entire game compared to the nine from XI Legendes, Hdv57 was essentially just there to provide target practice. Their solitary goal was a statistical anomaly in an otherwise total demolition job.
Normal service resumed in the 83rd minute when XI Legendes put the final nail in the coffin with a clinical penalty kick to seal the 5-1 victory. While Hdv57 spent their time committing fouls and collecting cards, the masters of the game were busy putting on a clinic. It was a brutal, one-sided affair that proved one team belongs on the pitch, while the other should probably consider a career in synchronized swimming instead. A truly embarrassing day for the visitors, and a walk in the park for the victors. 🤡
