A Total Meltdown: FC RAGUSA Turns My Heroes into Local Legends of Failure
What we witnessed today was less of a football match and more of a public service announcement on how not to defend. My Heroes showed up with the tactical awareness of a confused goldfish, allowing FC RAGUSA to treat the pitch like their personal playground. By the time the dust settled on the 2-6 scoreline, the only thing My Heroes had managed to do consistently was foul their opponents—three times, to be exact—and watch the ball sail into their own net with depressing regularity. ⚽
The carnage began early, with FC RAGUSA asserting dominance by the 19th minute. While FC RAGUSA were busy racking up 8 shots on target and playing with a level of aggression that earned them two yellow cards, My Heroes were busy daydreaming. Even a beautifully executed free-kick goal in the 35th minute by FC RAGUSA served as a cruel reminder that while one team was playing a sport, the other was clearly just participating in a charity event for their opponents' goal difference.
To their credit, My Heroes finally decided to show a pulse in the 69th and 82nd minutes with two consolation goals, but by then, the scoreboard was already a work of fiction. FC RAGUSA simply laughed off the late resistance, adding two more goals in the final ten minutes to seal the embarrassment. If My Heroes want to live up to their name, they might want to start by learning where the goal is located and perhaps, just perhaps, trying to stop the opposition from scoring at will.
