What we witnessed today was less of a football match and more of a public service announcement on why some teams should perhaps consider bowling instead. LES BLEUS absolutely demolished FC Westwood GT with a clinical 5-0 victory that left the visitors looking like they were playing in slow motion. While FC Westwood GT managed to commit four fouls, they couldn't manage a single shot on target, proving that their only real talent today was getting in the way of the ball or, quite frankly, getting in the way of themselves. ⚽
The misery for FC Westwood GT began in the 31st minute when LES BLEUS decided that mercy was off the menu. A masterclass in set-piece execution saw two consecutive free-kick goals in the 31st and 41st minutes, effectively ending the contest before the half-time oranges were even sliced. It was a humiliating display of defensive ineptitude from the visitors, whose only contribution to the highlight reel was a pathetic attempt at a free kick in the 23rd minute that arguably threatened the parking lot more than the goalkeeper.
The second half was a pure landslide as LES BLEUS poured salt into the wounds with three more goals in the 59th, 69th, and 76th minutes.
