LIVERPOOL F.T HUMILIATED: A COMEDY OF ERRORS IN THE RAIN
What we witnessed today was less of a football match and more of a public service announcement on how not to defend a lead, or indeed, how not to play football at all. Liverpool F.T looked like they had collectively forgotten the rules of the sport, managing a pathetic 2 shots on target while racking up 6 fouls, mostly committed in a desperate attempt to stop the inevitable. Meanwhile, LesQuercitains. treated the pitch like their own personal training ground, putting on an absolute clinic that left their opponents chasing shadows and ghosts for ninety excruciating minutes. 🤡
The carnage began in the 19th minute and didn't stop until LesQuercitains. had hammered home five goals. It was a masterclass in set-piece execution; between the 31st and 36th minutes, LesQuercitains. scored two identical free-kick masterpieces that made the Liverpool F.T wall look like a group of tourists posing for a photo. By the time a corner was whipped in for the fourth goal at the 42nd minute, the home crowd was already checking the parking lot for the fastest exit route. Even the consolation goal for Liverpool F.T in the 56th minute felt like a clerical error rather than a genuine threat.
By the final whistle, the 1-5 scoreline was almost generous to Liverpool F.T, who spent more time fouling than actually engaging with the ball. LesQuercitains. finished the game with 7 shots on target and a swagger that suggested they could have scored five more if they hadn't been busy laughing at the opposition's defensive shape. If this is the standard of play we can expect from Liverpool F.T moving forward, I suggest they trade their boots for knitting needles, as it would surely be less embarrassing for everyone involved. What a complete and utter shambles. 🔥
