A Humiliating Masterclass: AS.Monaco.27 Turns US Rijsel into Training Cones
What we witnessed today at the stadium was not a football match; it was a public service announcement on why you should practice your defense before stepping onto the pitch. AS.Monaco.27 arrived with the grace of a wrecking ball, while US Rijsel seemed to have collectively decided that watching the ball fly into their own net was their preferred hobby. The scoreboard read 1-4, a generous result for US Rijsel, who managed a pitiful single shot on target throughout the entire afternoon. It was less of a competitive fixture and more of an extended shooting drill for the visitors. ⚽
The misery for US Rijsel began almost immediately. By the 6th minute, a clumsy foul handed AS.Monaco.27 a free kick that found the back of the net, setting the tone for a afternoon of absolute dominance. While US Rijsel briefly flickered with a goal of their own in the 21st minute, it was merely a cruel tease. AS.Monaco.27 responded with relentless intensity, bombarding the goal with 10 shots on target and forcing the home side to scramble in desperation, racking up three fouls just to slow down the inevitable onslaught. 📉
By the time the final whistle blew, AS.Monaco.27 had firmly stamped their authority on the pitch, leaving US Rijsel to contemplate a long, lonely bus ride home to their lockers. With 14 total shots compared to their opponent's solitary effort, the visitors proved that quality—and actually knowing where the goal is—makes all the difference. As for US Rijsel? Let’s just say they might want to look into a new sport, perhaps something that doesn't involve so much running away from the ball.
