A Total Demolition: The Bloodbath at the Stadium!
What we witnessed today was less of a football match and more of a public execution performed by R.C Lens. While Reunion FC showed up with the tactical ambition of a confused tourist, the hosts turned the pitch into their own personal playground. By the time the clock hit forty minutes, R.C Lens had already buried three goals, leaving their opponents looking like they were trying to solve complex calculus equations while wearing blindfolds. ⚽
The second half continued the carnage, with R.C Lens adding three more to the tally, clearly bored by the lack of resistance. Reunion FC managed a lone, desperate goal in the 81st minute—a participation trophy if I ever saw one—but even that couldn't mask the absolute humiliation. With R.C Lens racking up 6 shots on target against a defense that seemed to be made of wet cardboard, the final 6-1 scoreline feels almost generous to the visitors.
To cap off the misery, R.C Lens picked up a yellow card in the 84th minute, probably just to feel something after such an easy afternoon. Reunion FC leaves the field with their dignity in tatters and their goal difference in a state of emergency. If this is what passes for a professional challenge these days, I might as well lace up my boots and join the fun—at least I’d provide more entertainment than this defensive disaster class! 🤡
