A Massacre on the Pitch: COF United Turns Picore-Picore into Poultry Feed
What we witnessed today was less of a football match and more of a tactical execution. COF United arrived with a hunger that suggests they hadn't eaten in weeks, while Picore-Picore seemed to be operating under the delusion that standing still is a defensive masterclass. From the 9th-minute penalty onwards, the visitors turned the stadium into their personal playground. By the time the dust settled on a humiliating 1-7 scoreline, Picore-Picore had managed a solitary shot on target, likely by complete accident, while COF United treated the goal frame like a magnet. ⚽
The carnage was relentless. COF United dismantled their opposition with clinical efficiency, scoring from corners, free kicks, and open play, leaving the Picore-Picore defense looking like a group of tourists lost in the wrong city. With 5 fouls committed by the home side and only 1 by the visitors, it is clear that Picore-Picore spent most of the afternoon trying to kick the ball—and failing—or simply kicking the opposition out of pure frustration. It was a masterclass in how not to play professional football. 🤡
To their credit, Picore-Picore managed to scrape a goal in the 88th minute, likely because COF United had started checking their watches and planning their post-match dinner reservations. It was a pathetic consolation for a team that looked utterly out of their depth. As for COF United, they depart with a well-deserved victory and a goal difference that will make their accountants smile. If Picore-Picore wants to avoid another embarrassment, they should consider swapping their cleats for something more manageable, perhaps checkers or competitive napping.
