THE GRIM CREATURES/10: A MASTERCLASS IN HOW NOT TO PLAY FOOTBALL
What we witnessed today was not a football match; it was a public service announcement on the importance of basic coordination. The Grim Creatures/10 turned up to the pitch seemingly under the impression that they were participating in a professional wrestling tournament rather than a soccer game. With zero shots—on or off target—they spent the entire ninety minutes aggressively introducing their studs to the shins of the ASC80 players. It was a tactical disaster, characterized by eight desperate fouls and a complete lack of ambition that left their own fans questioning their life choices. 🤡
On the other side of the spectrum, ASC80 treated the game like a casual training session, albeit one where they occasionally had to dodge a flying tackle. They were clinical, precise, and frankly, bored. The highlight of the first half came courtesy of two magnificent free kicks that dismantled The Grim Creatures/10 before they even realized the match had started. By the time they reached the 74th minute, ASC80 had already secured the victory, even if they did lose a player to injury—likely from the sheer exhaustion of having to run circles around opponents who couldn't find the goal if it were painted neon green. ⚽
The final score of 0-4 is actually generous to The Grim Creatures/10, considering they didn't manage a single shot to trouble the goalkeeper. ASC80 cruised through the game, racking up fourteen total attempts and mocking the very concept of a defensive line. As for the losers, one can only hope they spend their next practice session learning the offside rule or perhaps how to kick a ball in a direction other than at an opponent's ankle. A truly pathetic display that will go down in history as a lesson in total futility. 📉
